PLCR (Platelet Large Cell Ratio) is a platelet parameter reported in advanced CBC analyzers.
It measures the percentage of large platelets (usually >12 fL) in the blood. Large platelets are younger, more active, and more functionally reactive than small platelets. PLCR helps in evaluation of Platelet Production vs Destruction, useful in dengue monitoring, cardiovascular risk monitoring.
